President El-Sisi to Open Alamein Africa Forum

New Alamein:President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is set to inaugurate the Alamein Africa Forum in New Alamein on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the forum will see extensive participation from African leaders, officials, and representatives from the business community, as well as African and international economic institutions.

President El-Sisi will co-chair the summit of the founding member states of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) alongside Angolan President Joo Louren§o, who also chairs the AUDA-NEPAD Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee. Joining them will be heads and representatives from founding member states including Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa. The President of Burundi, current Chairperson of the African Union, along with representatives of the African Union Commission and the CEO of AUDA-NEPAD, will also participate.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, Spokesman for the Presidency, stated that President El-Sisi will attend the 8th African Union Mid-Year Coordination Meeting in New Alamein on Sunday, October 4. This gathering will host African leaders and heads of regional economic communities.

Throughout the two-day event, President El-Sisi is scheduled to deliver the opening and closing remarks as the head of the host nation. He will also conduct several bilateral and multilateral meetings with African leaders and officials to discuss enhancing joint African action and advancing efforts toward continental development and integration.
