Cairo: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has enacted law no. 88 of 2025, which establishes a Unified National Real Estate Identification Number Database. This legislative move aims to create a comprehensive national electronic database for real estate properties across Egypt. Each property will receive a unique, non-replicable identification number, ensuring clear distinction from other properties.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this new identification number will be integrated with the codes of Egypt's unified base map system. The management and operational details of this system will be delineated by a forthcoming prime ministerial decision. This designated authority will be tasked with providing data for each property's national ID, supervising its application, and ensuring its ongoing utility.

The law specifically excludes properties of strategic and military significance from this database. CAPMAS will work in conjunction with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, along with other relevant ministries and bodies, to outline the components of the national real estate ID.
