Cairo: Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi took part in a session titled 'Ensuring a Safe, Fast, and Effective Deployment of Artificial Intelligence' within the G7 Summit's agenda in ‚¬Å¡¬°vian, France.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy reported that leaders and corporate executives emphasized AI's integration into life. The deployment of AI poses opportunities and risks, prompting the need for a roadmap and legal framework for digital transformation and AI in each country.

Participants highlighted the importance of global coordination in AI governance, urging decisive steps toward capacity building to keep up with the sector's rapid evolution. They also pointed out the security, social, ethical, and informational risks of AI, exacerbated by the lack of international governance, which threatens state sovereignty and could widen disparities between developed and developing nations.

The session underscored the need for international cooperation and public-private partnerships to mitigate AI-related risks while maximizing its potential. President El-Sisi stressed the importance of AI governance, acknowledging the nascent stage of AI development and the necessity to preemptively address associated risks.
