Baku:This morning, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi chaired a meeting of the National Defense Council at Al-Ittihadia Palace. The meeting was attended by key figures including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister, and top military and government officials.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the council reviewed significant regional developments, focusing on the escalating attacks against Saudi Arabia. In response, the council expressed full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the deep-rooted ties between the two nations and the importance of Saudi national security to Egypt and the broader Arab region.

The council also decided to provide necessary support to Saudi Arabia to maintain its security and stability, protect its resources, and safeguard its Islamic holy sites. Furthermore, it stressed the need for intensified political and diplomatic efforts with regional and international partners to reduce tensions and achieve peaceful solutions to ongoing regional crises.
