El alamein: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi emphasized the ongoing need to advance Egypt's judicial system, focusing on reducing burdens, expediting case adjudication, and increasing completion rates to bolster citizens' trust in state institutions, during a meeting held in El Alamein with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and Minister of Justice Mahmoud Helmy El-Sherif.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the President also underlined the importance of applying robust cybersecurity measures and digital sovereignty to safeguard litigants' data. He stressed the necessity of prompt judgment enforcement in alimony cases. During the meeting, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy reported on the Ministry of Justice's progress, particularly highlighting the 'City of Justice' project in the New Capital, which aims to create an integrated digital judicial environment.
President El-Sisi instructed that the project be completed within set timelines, maintaining technical precision to honor Egypt's judicial heritage. Additionally, discussions covered improvements in real estate registration and notarization services, with Minister Sherif noting the establishment of notarization branches within bank premises and the deployment of mobile notarization vehicles. New branches in Sohag and Minya also facilitate remote services.
Efforts to enhance family court services were reviewed, including an electronic system to suspend certain government services for individuals failing to pay alimony. The Ministry of Justice aims to accelerate case resolution by improving work environments for judges and litigants. Initiatives include an integrated technological system for managing criminal chamber proceedings and the 'Unified Digital Justice Strategy' to achieve comprehensive integration within the judicial system.
The Minister of Justice also outlined the upcoming implementation of the new Criminal Procedure Law, effective October 1, 2026, and measures to enhance state dues collection. President El-Sisi reiterated the state's dedication to developing a government services system that meets Egyptian citizens' needs, affirming the importance of continual judicial system advancements.
