President El-Sisi Attends Celebration Marking Prophet Mohammad’s Birth

New capital: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi attended a celebration marking Al Mawlid Al Nabawi at Al Safwa Center for International Conferences at the Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Capital. The event was also attended by senior government officials including Speaker of the House of Representatives Counselor Hisham Badawi, Speaker of the Senate Counselor Essam El Din Farid, Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, and other dignitaries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a documentary screening titled 'The Prophet Smiled.' Dr. Usama Al-Azhari delivered a speech and presented President El-Sisi with a collection of books on the virtues of Prophet Muhammad. The event also featured a religious supplication and a documentary on the importance of work, alongside a performance by Heba Magdy, whom the President greeted, wishing her a speedy recovery. A religious chanting performance was also part of the celebration.

His Eminence the Grand Imam, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, delivered a speech, followed by the screening of another documentary film titled 'A Good Example.' President El-Sisi honored scholars from Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Religious Endowments, awarding them the Medal of Sciences and Arts, First Class, and subsequently delivered a speech emphasizing the significance of the Prophet's teachings and their relevance in modern times.

President El-Sisi, in his speech, conveyed greetings to the Egyptian people and the Arab and Islamic nations on this auspicious occasion. He emphasized the importance of the Prophet's message, highlighting its role in transforming humanity. The President assured that the Egyptian state remains vigilant regarding national security and is committed to advancing and developing the state across all fields.

In addition, President El-Sisi outlined directives for the government, focusing on transparency, infrastructure development, market regulation, and public service improvements. He stressed the need for a comprehensive report on the state's achievements to be presented to citizens, ensuring accountability and progress across various sectors. The President also called for continuous traffic enforcement to improve road safety and emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law.

The celebration marked not only the Prophet's birth but also served as a call to action for embodying the noble morals of Prophet Muhammad in daily life. The President urged the nation to strive for excellence in work and character, recognizing these as foundational to building a prosperous and advanced society.
