Amman: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Tourism Development Authority (TDA) and the Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development to support tourism investment, improve the use of state-owned assets, and accelerate the development of tourism projects.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreement was signed at the government headquarters in New Alamein in the presence of Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa el Minshawy, Future of Egypt Authority for Sustainable Development Executive Director Bahaa El Ghannam, and Deputy Housing Minister Waleed Abbas.
Under the protocol, the Tourism Development Authority will provide technical and planning support for tourism projects on land owned by the Mostaqbal Misr Agency. The authority will prepare feasibility studies, master plans, and detailed development plans, while also providing technical consultations and assisting in securing the approvals required for project implementation.
The two sides will also exchange technical data and planning information to improve project execution and ensure the efficient use of state-owned land for tourism and investment purposes. A joint coordination committee will be established to monitor implementation, coordinate between both parties, and address any challenges that could affect project timelines.
For her part, Housing Minister Randa El Minshawy said that the agreement reflects the government's commitment to improving the management of state assets and supporting integrated tourism development. She added that the Tourism Development Authority's experience in planning and tourism development will contribute to creating investment opportunities and developing projects that support sustainable economic growth.
Meanwhile, Bahaa El Ghannam stated that the protocol is part of the agency's strategy to maximize the economic value of state-owned assets through cooperation with specialized government institutions. He added that the partnership will help develop tourism and investment projects based on sound planning, attract new investment, and contribute to Egypt's sustainable development goals.
