Alexandria: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Monday, July 14th, 2025, witnessed the launch of the first water ambulance in the Alexandria governorate.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the launching ceremony of the boat coincided with the Prime Minister's inspection of several completed and ongoing service and development projects in the coastal governorate. During the event, Amr Rashid, Chairperson of the Egyptian Ambulance Authority, informed the Prime Minister that the ambulance boat was entirely constructed and manufactured in Egypt.

Rashid highlighted that the vessel adheres to both medical and maritime standards, and it is specifically designed to cater to beachgoers, visitors to ports and marinas, and those involved in yacht tourism. The new water ambulance is expected to significantly improve the country's emergency response capabilities for incidents occurring aboard passenger and commercial vessels in Egyptian territorial waters and offshore oil platforms.

Rashid further detailed that the boat measures 13 meters in length and four meters in width, capable of transporting four sick or injured individuals, along with the ambulance and navigation crew. The ambulance boat is equipped with three engines, allowing it to reach a speed of 35 knots. It also features modern navigation and marine safety devices, alongside the necessary medical equipment for emergency rescue operations.
