Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, expressed the government's aspiration to activate the Egyptian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council in the coming period, in a way that supports bilateral relations in all fields. This statement was made during Madbouli's meeting with Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting focused on discussing several issues of mutual interest.According to State Information Service Egypt, the Prime Minister commended efforts being exerted to strengthen relations between the two countries. This includes the signing of a joint agreement aimed at protecting and encouraging investments, along with the formation of the Joint Supreme Coordination Council. Madbouli expressed his hope that the visit of the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council to Egypt would contribute to further strengthening the bonds between the two nations.In response , the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council praised the efforts made by the Egyptian government to achieve comprehensive development and enhance bilateral cooperation. He highlighted the depth of the relationship between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, affirming the importance of continued collaboration in various sectors.
