Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli extended his appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his US counterpart Donald Trump for their efforts to end the war on Gaza in coordination with regional partners.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli highlighted the collaboration with mediation partners, led by the US, Qatar, and Turkey, which enabled Egypt to achieve success in reaching a peace agreement and ending the conflict in the Gaza Strip. This agreement aimed to alleviate the humanitarian suffering endured by Palestinians in Gaza over the past two years.
Madbouli reiterated Egypt's consistent position on the Gaza crisis since its inception, recalling President Sisi's statement about rejecting any attempts to displace Palestinians from their homeland. The Prime Minister also acknowledged the relentless work of Egyptian bodies over the past two years in brokering peace, delivering humanitarian aid, and facilitating the ceasefire agreement reached in Sharm El Sheikh.
During a news conference following his tour of Qalyubia, Madbouli also recognized the International Day of the Girl. He commended the significant contributions of Egyptian girls and women in various sectors, as witnessed during his visit to industrial, educational, and service facilities. He noted the strong presence of women in the workforce and higher education, particularly at Banha University, where the student body is predominantly female.
