PM Stresses Commitment to Northwestern Coast’s Integrated Development

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized the Egyptian government's dedicated focus on the development of the Northwestern Coast, asserting its commitment to implementing President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives towards achieving comprehensive development plans that aim to maximize the region's potential and resources.According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly outlined that the development initiatives would not only target tourism but also extend to various economic and developmental activities. This includes establishing additional residential, productive, and developmental communities along the coast to attract further investments across multiple sectors.Madbouly's remarks were made during a meeting held on Monday, September 14, 2026, to discuss the Northwestern Coast's developmental efforts. The meeting was attended by several key figures, including Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy, Matrouh Governor Mohamed El-Zamlout, Ahmed Hisham Fadel, Ass istant Adviser to the President for Urban Planning, Nasser Fawzy, Director of the National Center for Planning State Land Uses, and other officials from pertinent ministries and government bodies.During the meeting, Madbouly stated that the objective was to review the status of land inventories, allocations, and existing developments, along with approved urban boundaries and their expansions in the Northwestern Coast and its urban hinterland.He further explained that these efforts are part of an integrated development plan for the region, which encompasses economic, tourism, industrial, agricultural, and urban activities. The plan aims to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens across various sectors and vital utilities, while establishing infrastructure that encourages investors to increase their investments. This would allow them to capitalize on the region's opportunities and potential, thereby supporting development and urban expansion.
