Cairo: Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, convened a meeting to evaluate the ongoing efforts to restructure economic authorities. The meeting was attended by key figures including Mr. Ahmed Kouchok, Minister of Finance; General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority; Mr. Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal; Mr. Mohamed El-Faisal, Chairman of the Central Auditing Organization; and Dr. Hussein Issa, Advisor to the Minister of Planning and Economic Development on Economic Authority Restructuring. A number of officials from relevant authorities were also present.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Prime Minister reiterated the government's dedication to advancing the restructuring of economic authorities, emphasizing the need for tangible executive measures. Dr. Madbouly highlighted that restructuring these bodies is integral to the government's broader economic reform initiatives and the development of state institutions.
Dr. Hussein Issa presented the work of the technical secretariat responsible for restructuring economic authorities, detailing its collaboration with several entities to implement restructuring plans. Mr. Mohamed El-Homsani, the official spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, noted that the meeting explored various visions and ideas concerning the restructuring options available for several economic authorities.
Concluding the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed the establishment of communication channels with the economic authorities slated for restructuring, aiming to initiate the restructuring procedures in the near future.
