Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli emphasized the importance of regular follow-up on the remaining works within the first phase of the presidential initiative 'Haya Karima' (Decent Life), in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to overcome various obstacles, accelerate completion rates, finalize and hand over projects as soon as possible, while adhering to quality standards of implementation.
According to State Information Service Egypt, all efforts will contribute to achieving the objectives of this unprecedented development initiative aimed at improving the quality of life of millions of Egyptians, the prime minister said. Madbouli's remarks came during a meeting held on Monday, January 19, 2026, to follow up on the executive status of the first phase of the presidential initiative and preparations for launching the second phase.
He referred to presidential directives currently being implemented in coordination among the various ministries and entities to ensure the prompt handover of projects completed under the first phase of the initiative and their operation to serve residents of the beneficiary villages, alongside well-studied preparations for the launch of the second phase of this development initiative, with benefits extending to new villages across Egypt.
The prime minister said the social and economic impact achieved through the projects of this distinguished initiative in rural Egyptian villages is clearly evident, underscoring the importance of this national initiative, which has effectively and tangibly contributed to improving services provided to citizens in the sectors of infrastructure, health, education, social services, and others, in addition to creating numerous job opportunities for residents of these villages.
