Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli affirmed the growing importance the Egyptian state places on the availability of accurate, up-to-date data and information in numerous fields. He stressed the need to achieve integration and electronic interconnection among the relevant ministries and government bodies.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Prime Minister's remarks came during a meeting at the headquarters of the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) with the center's officials to review several work files aimed at supporting the state's development efforts across various sectors.
He also emphasized the crucial role that data and information play in the decision-making process, in recognition of the importance of timely and accurate information in shaping Egypt's public policies - particularly in light of the digital transition and rapid technological progress both locally and globally.
During the meeting, Madbouli listened to a detailed presentation by Osama el Gohary, the Assistant to the Prime Minister and Chair of the IDSC, regarding the most advanced electronic platforms and current projects the center is working on, and their role in supporting decision-making at all levels.
Gohary also noted the IDSC's continuous efforts to localize various technological applications, databases, and information systems, in addition to hosting websites, connecting to the internet network, and displaying its products and outputs in innovative technological formats.
