PM Madbouly Congratulates President El-Sisi and Egypt on Revolution Anniversary

Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly extended his congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution. He described the event as a pivotal moment in Egypt's history, marking the start of a new era under President El-Sisi's leadership with a focus on implementing a comprehensive national development plan.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly expressed his aspirations for increased progress and prosperity during the Cabinet's weekly meeting on June 24, 2026, held at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting addressed various issues, including regional developments following a ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. Madbouly emphasized Egypt's stance on the need for continued efforts to finalize a sustainable agreement that ensures the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and other Arab nations.

Madbouly, representing the Cabinet, also praised President El-Sisi's efforts in stabilizing the region and coordinating with regional partners to foster political agreements and avoid conflicts. He acknowledged President El-Sisi's role in achieving long-term security and stability.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude towards Ahmed Abul Gheit for his leadership as the Secretary-General of the Arab League, highlighting his contributions to strengthening joint Arab actions. Madbouly congratulated Nabil Fahmy, the nominee for Secretary-General, citing his extensive diplomatic experience and his capability to navigate complex geopolitical challenges.

Madbouly also recognized Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, along with the Foreign Ministry staff, on the bicentennial of Egypt's Foreign Affairs Bureau. He announced a celebratory event to commemorate the occasion and commended the vital role of Egyptian diplomacy in advancing national interests on regional and international stages.

In addition, the Prime Minister celebrated Egypt's national football team's historic first victory in the FIFA World Cup, attributing the success to determination and strong will. He expressed optimism for further achievements in the tournament.
