PM Madbouli Highlights Progress in ‘Decent Life’ Initiative Projects in Qalyubia

Qalyubia: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli emphasized the government's commitment to monitoring the progress of the presidential 'Decent Life' initiative projects, which he described as the largest comprehensive development effort aimed at improving living standards and services in rural areas nationwide.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the premier's remarks came at the beginning of his tour to Qalyubia governorate to follow up on the progress of the implementation of the presidential 'Decent Life' initiative for developing the countryside, especially in the villages of Shibin El Qanatir, to improve the quality of life for citizens in the most-needed rural areas.

Madbouli was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment Manal Awad, Governor of Qalyubia Ayman Attia, Deputy Governor Eman Rayan, and several officials from the governorate.

The Prime Minister highlighted the role of the Decent Life projects in achieving a qualitative leap in the level of services provided to citizens in the targeted villages across many development and service sectors. He emphasized the importance of quickly finalizing the remaining projects in the initiative's first phase and to commence the second phase projects, which target the establishment and implementation of more development and service projects.

The governor of Qalyubia explained that the presidential initiative projects in Qalyubia are divided into several key areas, focusing on developing infrastructure, improving services, and supporting the neediest families. These projects aim to develop the countryside and improve the efficiency of services provided to residents of the targeted villages. The ongoing projects serve the citizens of Shibin El Qanatir district, which has approximately 600,000 people.

The governor pointed out that Shibin El Qanatir city encompasses over 35 villages, with 703 projects carried out across all development sectors at an estimated cost of EGP 7.1 billion, achieving a completion rate of 95.45%.
