PM Inspects Construction Progress of Bulaq Abu El-Ela General Hospital

Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has inspected the ongoing construction of the new Bulaq Abu El-Ela General Hospital as part of his tour to evaluate healthcare projects in Cairo and Giza governorates.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Minister of Health and Population and Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, described the hospital as a significant healthcare initiative. The project aims to provide a wide range of medical services, incorporating both general and specialized medical and surgical departments.

The hospital is designed to accommodate 220 beds, including 145 inpatient beds, 55 intensive care beds, and 20 neonatal incubators. The facility will also be equipped with 19 dialysis machines, nine operating rooms, and 66 outpatient clinics to ensure comprehensive care.

Project consultants have outlined that the main building is being constructed on a 7,233-square-meter plot, with a total built-up area of approximately 31,000 square meters. The construction is expected to be completed by December 2026.

The Prime Minister has requested monthly progress reports and stressed the importance of accelerating the project's implementation, confirming that financial resources are not a hindrance to its timely completion.
