PM Inspects Agricultural Export Facility in Qalyubia


Benha: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli visited Al Sawaf Citrus and Agricultural Produce Packing station during a tour of the investment zone in Benha, Qalyubia.



According to State Information Service Egypt, company officials stated that the facility covers an area of 5,280 square meters and specializes in sorting, packing, and exporting citrus and other crops. It has a daily capacity of about 250 tons and exports around 40,000 tons annually, valued at approximately $20 million. Exports account for 75% of total production, with the remaining sold in the local market.



The station employs about 250 workers. Production includes several stages such as sorting, washing, drying, grading, and packing using automated systems and AI-based sorting.



In addition, Madbouli met with many workers during the visit and discussed working conditions, praising the strong participation of women in the workforce.
