Badr city: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated the LEONI automotive wiring factory in Badr City on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, marking a key step in the country's efforts to localize car manufacturing and attract foreign direct investment.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the project is a collaboration with the German company LEONI. It is designed to transfer advanced German technology to Egypt, enhance production efficiency, and create new employment opportunities. Officials stated that the factory reflects the government's broader strategy to strengthen the automotive sector and promote high-tech industrial development.
