Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stated that the government is committed to following up on securing an adequate supply of various strategic commodities at affordable prices in the local markets to meet citizens' needs. Madbouli made the remarks on Monday, October 27, 2025, during a Cabinet meeting to review the measures for the provision of strategic commodities in coordination with various government bodies, said Spokesman for the Cabinet Mohamed El-Homsani. The meeting was attended by the ministers of planning, supply, agriculture and investment, as well as other officials.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting focused on the current measures in place to ensure the availability of essential goods and the strategies to overcome any challenges in the supply chain. The ministers discussed various approaches to enhance local production capabilities and improve import processes to maintain a steady flow of strategic commodities.
The government has been actively coordinating with different sectors to monitor and manage the supply of these essential goods. The Cabinet emphasized the importance of strategic planning and collaboration among ministries to address potential shortages and stabilize market prices.
