PM Follows Up on Efforts of Government Complaints System Nationwide

Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Saturday reviewed the response of the Unified Government Complaints System to several cases nationwide. He emphasized the importance of intensifying the efforts of the complaints system to monitor, receive, and address citizens' complaints nationwide, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to provide prompt and effective responses.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli made the remarks while reviewing a report submitted by Tarek el-Rifai, the director of the Cabinet's complaints system, for November. Rifai stated that the cabinet's complaints system continues to play its role in ensuring effective communication with various segments of society, noting that these efforts have yielded a range of responses in coordination with the ministries concerned and their affiliated bodies.

Rifai reported that the system has received and tracked 185,000 complaints, requests, and inquiries in November. He explained that after an initial review and verification process, 132,000 complaints were forwarded to the bodies concerned, while 49,000 were closed centrally before referral.

Furthermore, Rifai highlighted that ministries accounted for 61 percent of all complaints referred to the relevant bodies in the month under consideration.
