PM Begins Field Tour of Development Project Sites in Luxor

Luxor: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly emphasized the substantial progress of development projects in Luxor, especially those under the presidential "Decent Life" initiative focused on improving rural areas. The Premier's remarks were made during a field visit to follow up on the progress of the projects being carried out in the Upper Egyptian governorate.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly inspected ongoing projects in Esna and Armant, two key districts in the province. The initiative, a key part of the government's rural development efforts, is nearing the completion of its first phase, with nearly 670 projects already finished, including infrastructure and services across various areas such as health, clean water, sanitation, and housing. Over 687,000 people in the two locations are expected to benefit from these improvements.

Madbouly's visit, a year after his last inspection of the region, is part of a broader government effort to ensure rapid progress and complete the first phase before moving on to the next. The government is committed to ensuring that every village across Egypt benefits from the initiative.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of Environment Manal Awad, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Sherif El-Sherbiny, and a host of respective officials, including the governor of Luxor. Governor of Luxor Abdel Muttaleb Emara praised the project's impact on the local community, noting that the improvements are unprecedented in these rural areas.
