Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly took part on Monday, June 15, 2026, in the opening of the Africa Health ExCon held at the Al Manara International Conference and Exhibition Center under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Presidential Adviser for Health and Prevention Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag el-Din, as well as a number of ministers, senior government officials and prominent figures from the healthcare sector.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this year's edition is held under the theme: 'Innovation and Independence: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Local Manufacturing to Strengthen African Health Systems.' The conference reflects an ambitious vision for building more efficient, resilient and sustainable healthcare systems capable of meeting future challenges while enhancing self-sufficiency and expanding equitable access to healthcare services and medical products across the African continent.
