Cairo: Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdalla held talks with Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) Fethi Zouhair Nouri to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two institutions. The meeting highlighted the historical ties and fraternal relations between Egypt and Tunisia, emphasizing the progress in bilateral relations across various sectors, which are instrumental in advancing economic cooperation between the two countries.According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between the two central banks under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between them. This agreement aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices, particularly in financial stability and monetary policy. Additionally, the two sides reviewed regional and global economic and financial developments and the efforts by both central banks to address geopolitical challenges and strengthen the bankin g sector's capacity to support development plans and promote sustainable economic growth.At the conclusion of the meeting, both governors stressed the importance of maintaining close coordination and consultation to further strengthen bilateral relations and advance the shared interests of Egypt and Tunisia.
