Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly directed Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber to organize weekly events in Art Street and other areas across Historic Cairo to support young artists and promote cultural tourism. Madbouly said the events will include artistic performances that reflect Egypt's cultural identity and heritage.
According to State Information Service Egypt, in press remarks after a tour of restoration and development projects in Cairo, the Prime Minister said the government is continuing efforts to revive Historic and Khedivial Cairo while preserving the city's architectural and historical character. He added that development work included Downtown Cairo, Talaat Harb Street, the Stock Exchange district, and several historic neighborhoods.
Madbouly also praised young Egyptian artists who participated in performances during the visit, saying Egypt continues to produce talented creators in music, art, dance, and theater. He said the government is also working to restore traditional craft markets and improve historic areas around major landmarks as part of broader plans to revive Cairo's historic identity and attract more visitors.
