Cairo: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a significant drop in temperatures this Friday, urging residents to brace for cold conditions during the early morning and late evening hours. Milder weather is anticipated during the day across most parts of the country.According to State Information Service Egypt, a frost warning has been issued for crops in Central Sinai, where overnight temperatures are expected to fall sharply. The EMA has also warned of dense fog between 4:00 AM and 9:00 AM, which could severely impact visibility on roads connecting Northern Egypt to Greater Cairo, Suez Canal cities, Northern Upper Egypt, and Central Sinai. Commuters are advised to exercise caution during these hours.Light to moderate rainfall is expected intermittently along the Northeastern coast, with scattered light rain possibly affecting the Northwestern coast, Central Sinai, and Northern Lower Egypt. Active winds are predicted across most regions, with the EMA noting that these gusts will significan tly increase the "wind chill" factor, making the air feel substantially colder than the recorded temperatures.Navigation in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Suez, and the Gulf of Aqaba is anticipated to be disrupted due to turbulent weather conditions. Mariners and coastal residents are urged to monitor updates and avoid maritime activities in the affected areas, as wind speeds are expected to range between 50 to 70 km/h and wave heights between 2.5 to 3.5 meters.
