Cairo: Egypt aims to achieve self-sufficiency in crude oil and continue increasing natural gas production under a new five-year exploration and production plan, Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawi said on Friday 19/12/2025.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the strategy is part of a broader initiative to enhance the country's energy sector, ensuring that Egypt can meet its own oil demands while also boosting its natural gas output.
