Cairo: Volunteers from the Egyptian Red Crescent in North Sinai participated in a tree-planting campaign in Sheikh Zuweid as part of the presidential "100 Million Trees" initiative, aimed at expanding green spaces and improving the urban appearance of the city and its surrounding area.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Khaled Zayed, Head of the Egyptian Red Crescent branch in North Sinai, stated that the volunteers' participation in the initiative comes within the framework of promoting sustainable development, protecting the environment, increasing green areas, and enhancing the city's appearance.

Zayed added that the Red Crescent's participation was carried out in cooperation with the Sheikh Zuweid City Council, highlighting the organization's role in supporting national and community efforts and strengthening cooperation between government institutions and civil society to serve citizens and improve the local environment.
