Cairo: The National Council for Women (NCW) organized specialized entrepreneurship training for women in Cairo as part of the activities of the 'Rabeha' program, which aims to build the capacities of women entrepreneurs and enhance the chances of success and sustainability of their businesses.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the training is part of the council's and its partners' efforts to create a more supportive environment for women entrepreneurs and boost women's participation in economic activity. It also seeks to strengthen their ability to establish and manage businesses, achieve economic independence, and contribute to sustainable development efforts.

The training covered a range of specialized topics in entrepreneurship, planning and financial management, marketing, and personal skills development. These topics are designed to enhance participants' knowledge and skills, strengthen their ability to manage and develop their businesses, and support opportunities for growth, expansion, and economic sustainability.

The 'Rabeha' program also provides participants with technical support and follow-up after the training through links with supporting entities and business incubators. This enables them to benefit from available opportunities and services to develop their businesses and enhance their competitiveness and growth in the market.

The 'Rabeha' program is implemented in cooperation with UN Women, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the American University in Cairo (AUC), in partnership with the National Council for Women, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), with support from the Government of Canada.
