Sharjah: Chairperson of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM) Sahar el Sonbaty emphasized the importance of children's participation in international forums, stating that it plays a crucial role in shaping policies and visions that better address their needs.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Sonbaty made these remarks during the participation of a delegation from the council, which included child members of the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC). They attended the third session of the fourth parliamentary cycle in Sharjah, UAE, under the theme 'cybersecurity towards child-friendly content for Arab children.'
Sonbaty noted that such participation promotes a culture of positive engagement and helps build a generation capable of representing their country on the global stage. She asserted that the council is committed to supporting and empowering children to actively engage in international forums. This commitment is rooted in the belief that children should be included in discussions that impact their present and future, aligning with their right to express themselves as guaranteed by international and national conventions.
