Jeddah: The Muslim World League has expressed strong condemnation of Israel's announced rejection of the roadmap proposed to resolve the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the establishment of a Palestinian state.According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the League highlighted its disapproval of Israel's stance against the roadmap, which is integral to the implementation of US President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan, supported by Security Council Resolution 2803. This plan aims at resolving the Gaza conflict and promoting peace in the region through the establishment of a Palestinian state.His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the League and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, criticized the rejection, stating it is reflective of Israeli policies that violate international laws and hinder peace efforts. He emphasized the necessity for Israel to adhere to the obligations outlined in Trump's plan and its roadmap, urging international intervention to prevent an y obstacles to its implementation.Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa commended the unified stance of foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE. These nations have consistently expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause, supporting their right to an independent and sovereign state as per the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions, which are seen as the only viable path to achieving lasting peace in the region.
