Cairo: The ITIDA (IT Industry Development Agency) Gigs Program is a pioneering national initiative designed to empower young people to enter the digital freelancing market. Through an intensive 3-month training program, participants gain practical skills, mentorship from industry experts, access to Digital Egypt Innovation Hubs and co-working spaces, and the opportunity to complete their first paid task-giving them a real launchpad into the freelancing world.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the program has successfully attracted around 19,000 young men and women from 27 governorates, and participants have completed more than 4,300 freelance tasks with a total value of nearly USD 1.5 million.
