Misr Petroleum Reports Record EGP 230 Billion Revenue for Fiscal Year 2025/2026

Cairo: Misr Petroleum has announced a significant leap in its financial performance, posting revenues of EGP 230 billion for the fiscal year 2025/2026. Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi highlighted the company's vital role in fulfilling the domestic market's demand for petroleum products and its contribution to the marketing and distribution network across Egypt.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister Badawi expressed satisfaction with Misr Petroleum's business results and its strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and maximizing asset utilization. These comments were made during the company's general assembly meeting, which also saw participation from key government officials, including Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat and Minister of Local Development and Environment Manal Awad.

Minister Badawi underscored the company's ambitious plan to modernize approximately 130 fuel stations annually, which has been instrumental in improving service quality and projecting a strong corporate image. He emphasized the necessity of maintaining the highest standards of occupational health and safety, particularly in the transportation and handling of petroleum products.

Misr Petroleum Chairman Mohamed Maged Bekheit presented the company's achievements, noting that total sales surpassed 8 million tons of petroleum products, with investments reaching EGP 1 billion during the year. The company also invested EGP 180 million in upgrading its product loading and inventory monitoring systems to ensure efficient product management.

Bekheit detailed several initiatives, including developing aircraft and marine fuelling activities with EGP 31 million in investments and enhancing machinery and equipment efficiency with EGP 321 million. These measures aimed to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.

In its strategic expansion efforts, Misr Petroleum entered new foreign markets, opening outlets in Libya, Rwanda, and Malta, marking a significant step in broadening its international presence.

On the front of occupational health and safety, Misr Petroleum made substantial investments in fire safety systems, totaling EGP 404 million, and achieved a record of zero workplace injuries and fatalities for the fiscal year, reinforcing its commitment to safety and environmental protection.
