Ministry of Industry Launches Unified Digital Platform for Manufacturers

Abu Dhabi:The Ministry of Industry has introduced a unified digital platform designed to support manufacturers and boost local production through five key services.

According to State Information Service Egypt, This new platform provides digital assistance across various stages of industrial investment projects. It begins from the development of an initial idea, continues with the preparation of a feasibility study, and extends to the establishment and operation of a factory. Additionally, it supports expanding production, marketing products, and accessing both domestic and international markets.

The initiative seeks to improve the industrial investment climate and make Egyptian products more competitive. It aims to simplify procedures for investors and manufacturers, enhance integration among industrial facilities, increase the use of locally sourced production inputs, and help struggling factories resume operations.

A unique feature of the platform is its complaints management service, which sets binding timeframes for responding to manufacturers' complaints, in coordination with relevant ministries and government agencies. It also enables real-time monitoring of performance indicators, including response times and manufacturers' satisfaction levels.

Furthermore, the Ministry has established a follow-up committee to review unresolved complaints weekly, aiming to expedite decisions and ensure impartiality and transparency. The platform includes a digital database of locally available production inputs, promoting supply-chain integration and reducing reliance on imported materials.

The platform offers a digital marketplace for manufacturers, traders, and exporters to showcase finished products, with virtual meeting rooms facilitating stakeholder communication. Access is restricted to officially registered factories, and the Ministry will not intervene in commercial or financial transactions.

Real-time data on market activity, demand patterns, and trading trends is also available, aiding in industrial policymaking and promoting locally manufactured goods. The "Calculate Your Opportunity" service uses AI to quickly prepare preliminary feasibility studies for industrial projects, assisting investors in assessing project viability.

Plans are underway to provide more specialized feasibility studies in partnership with the Industrial Modernization Center, offering additional support for evaluating proposed projects. The platform also connects struggling factories with financing institutions or potential investment partners, aiming to restart idle production capacity and preserve jobs.

The Ministry encourages factories to register on the platform, which involves creating an industrial profile and cataloging products, to enhance industrial cooperation and integration. Factories can download the application and register through designated channels.
