Minister of Investment Discusses Cooperation with Development Bank of Belarus

Minsk: Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, during his chairmanship of the Egyptian-Belarusian Joint Committee held in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, met leaders of the Development Bank of Belarus to discuss ways to enhance economic, investment, and financial cooperation between the two countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting, the two sides addressed available financing mechanisms for joint projects and ways to support mutual investments in Egypt and Belarus. Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between financial institutions and capital markets in both countries to support the establishment of sustainable investment and industrial partnerships.

In the same context, Dr. Saleh stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral economic relations, highlighting the promising investment opportunities and strong competitive advantages that Egypt has to attract investments in vital sectors, including manufacturing, heavy equipment, and transportation. The minister also emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional cooperation with banks, financial institutions, and investment banks, as well as exploring opportunities for cooperation in the Egyptian capital market.

For their part, officials from the Development Bank of Belarus expressed their welcome for enhanced cooperation with Egypt, affirming the bank's readiness to provide the necessary financing facilities to support joint projects, in addition to supporting technology transfer and the exchange of expertise between the two sides.
