Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdel Aaty held a phone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Abbas Araghchi to discuss the latest regional developments. During the call, Minister Abdel Aaty emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty of the Gulf states and Arab countries, condemning any actions that violate their unity and territorial integrity. He also stressed the need for adherence to the principle of good neighborliness.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdel Aaty welcomed the ceasefire agreement announced by the U.S. President, underlining the importance of both the Israeli and Iranian sides committing to this agreement. He described the ceasefire as a crucial step toward reducing recent tensions in the region and restoring stability. The Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity of exercising restraint during this period, advocating for concrete measures to contain the tension. He reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to coordinating with regional and international partners to support security and stability.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed his country's respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar and all Gulf Cooperation Council countries. He reiterated Iran's commitment to the principle of good neighborliness. Both ministers agreed to continue efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
