Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gomblat witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between state-owned Tuya Technology and Intel. The agreement aims to enhance collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI) and local technology manufacturing.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the MoU encompasses specialized AI training, capacity building, knowledge transfer, and technical support. It also explores the possibility of locally assembling Edge AI solutions and personal computers. Gomblat emphasized that the agreement is a significant step in supporting Egypt's efforts to build an integrated AI ecosystem and strengthen local manufacturing capabilities.
Intel representatives expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership, particularly in the areas of training, knowledge transfer, and AI applications. The discussions also touched upon opportunities to develop local technological capabilities. This agreement is a continuation of talks held in July, which covered various topics, including AI, industrial software, data centers, networking technologies, and smart cameras.
