Military Production and Public Business Sector Ministers Discuss Strengthening Cooperation

Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production, Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Mostafa, hosted Minister of Public Business Sector, Engineer Mohamed Sheimy, at the Ministry of Military Production's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to deliberate on enhancing cooperation between the two ministries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was held under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to promote collaboration among state institutions, aiming for effective integration and optimal utilization of national manufacturing capabilities to facilitate comprehensive and sustainable development. Salah El-Din highlighted the Ministry of Military Production's integrated and unique system, which is based on five pillars: industry, research, information systems, construction, and training. The Ministry supervises 19 entities, including 15 industrial companies, a maintenance company, an information systems company, a scientific and technological excellence center, a construction company, a training sector, and a unified procurement sector, making it a crucial part of the national industry.

The Minister praised the Ministry of Public Business Sector for its role in bolstering the national economy through its companies operating in key manufacturing sectors. Meanwhile, Minister Mohamed Sheimy confirmed his Ministry's dedication to enhancing cooperation with various state institutions. He emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships to maximize national capabilities and support the state's sustainable economic development plans.

Sheimy detailed that his Ministry manages six holding companies in significant sectors: the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, the Holding Company for Chemical Industries, the Holding Company for Pharmaceuticals, the Holding Company for Spinning and Weaving, the Holding Company for Tourism and Hotels, and the Holding Company for Construction and Development. These entities have 63 subsidiaries and participate in 106 joint ventures, playing a vital role in supporting the national economy through industrial, production, and service sectors.
