Cairo: Mersal Charity Foundation announced that it had provided more than 825,000 medical, social, and humanitarian services to over 374,000 beneficiaries during the first half of 2026, at a total cost of nearly EGP 888 million.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the foundation's semi-annual report revealed that over 404,000 medical services were delivered at a cost of nearly EGP 681 million, benefiting more than 25,000 individuals. The medical support encompassed approximately 49,600 medication services worth more than EGP 406 million, over 33,000 kidney dialysis sessions, and more than 1,700 surgeries. Additionally, the foundation provided over 16,000 nights of intensive and neonatal care along with around 239,000 physiotherapy and speech therapy sessions.

Mersal Oncology Center contributed significantly by offering more than 7,300 services to over 1,500 patients at a cost of nearly EGP 184.5 million, which included essential treatments like radiotherapy and bone marrow transplants.

Furthermore, the foundation extended over 418,000 social services at a cost of nearly EGP 69 million, benefiting over 350,000 individuals. These services included more than 344,000 meals, financial assistance, food support, and in-kind aid.

In addition, Mersal Charity Foundation organized 15 medical and humanitarian convoys in the first half of the year, costing approximately EGP 138 million. As part of its humanitarian efforts towards Gaza, the foundation dispatched five aid convoys comprising 89 trucks since the start of 2026, with a total cost of nearly EGP 131 million.

Heba Rashed, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Mersal Charity Foundation, stated that the organization plans to continue broadening its range of medical, social, and humanitarian services, fostering cooperation with government bodies, civil society organizations, and international institutions.
