Cairo: Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, extended her congratulations to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, on the occasion of Christmas. The Minister of Social Solidarity visited the Papal Headquarters at St. Mark's Cathedral in Abbassia, leading a high-level delegation that included Engineer Margaret Sarofim, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity; Mr. Ayman Abdel-Mawgoud, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity; and Mr. Hisham Mohamed, Director of the Minister's Office.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Minister of Social Solidarity congratulated His Holiness Pope Tawadros II and all Coptic Egyptian citizens, praying that God grants His Holiness continued health and success. For his part, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II expressed his appreciation for the visit, emphasizing that the Egyptian people are one united fabric. He also noted the important role played by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Egyptian society and the ongoing cooperation with the Ministry in a number of fields.
