Local Development Minister Reviews Infrastructure and Heritage Projects in Egypt

Cairo: Minister of Local Development and Environment Manal Awad stated that the ministry is maintaining coordination with state institutions to support economic, environmental, and social development across Egypt. During a meeting with Presidential Adviser for Local Development Khaled Fouda, Awad discussed projects aimed at improving public services, infrastructure, urban appearance, and environmental conditions in different governorates.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting also reviewed projects related to restoring historic and heritage areas, including sites in Cairo and Beheira Governorate. Additionally, there are plans for improving markets, tourism areas, public cleanliness, and green spaces.

The discussions also covered sustainable development projects designed to enhance living conditions and create job opportunities. Fouda praised the ministry's efforts to support governorates and preserve historic and tourism areas.
