Labor Minister Highlights New Labor Law at French Chamber of Commerce Meeting

Cairo: Minister of Labor Mohamed Gebran participated in a meeting of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Egypt. Minister Gebran delivered a speech highlighting the key features of the new Labor Law No. 14 of 2025, outlining its objectives to balance the rights of workers and employers and to improve the investment climate by fostering a safe and stable work environment that attracts more foreign investments.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Gebran affirmed that the Ministry of Labor, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, is working to modernize labor legislation in line with ongoing economic developments and to enhance the competitiveness of Egypt's labor market. He noted that the new law represents a qualitative leap in regulating labor relations, contributing to workforce stability and productivity growth.

Gebran also stressed that the Ministry always welcomes constructive dialogue with both Egyptian and foreign business communities, emphasizing that partnership between the government and the private sector is key to achieving sustainable development and creating decent job opportunities for Egyptian youth.
