Labor minister hassan raddad said on sunday:abor Minister Hassan Raddad said on Sunday, August 30, 2026, that the ministry is working to remove obstacles and empower young people to enter the labor market, stressing that training is a top priority aimed at enhancing the skills of Egyptian workers and preparing them for employment in Arab and European markets.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Raddad emphasized the state's commitment to equipping Egyptian workers with high-level training that aligns with labor market demands. He highlighted the state's progress in reducing the unemployment rate, which has decreased from over 13% in 2013-2014 to approximately 8% today.

Raddad also discussed investment incentives, mentioning the introduction of measures to support investors and address any challenges they encounter. A committee has been established at the ministry's headquarters to assist investors in overcoming obstacles.

In reference to labor regulations, Raddad stated that the government has launched new rules to promote stability in the work environment, encourage investment, and enhance job security for workers. These regulations apply to both small and large private-sector companies, aiming for unified labor standards.

The minister further explained that establishments with 10 or more workers must implement and have labor regulations approved by labor offices. Smaller establishments with fewer than 10 workers have the option to adopt simplified regulations regarding working hours and weekly rest periods.
