Jared Kushner Presses Netanyahu on Gaza Deal in Jerusalem

Jerusalem: Mideast negotiator and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner was meeting Monday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, days after the premier rejected the US-backed road map to move the ceasefire deal forward in Gaza. The meeting follows Kushner's meeting with Hamas leader in Egypt, as the US presses for Israel's approval of the road map.

According to France24.com, the negotiations are part of ongoing efforts by the US to stabilize the region and seek a resolution to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Kushner's involvement signifies a direct approach by the US administration to mediate and push for acceptance of the proposed ceasefire deal which is aimed at reducing tensions and establishing a lasting peace framework.

The recent rejection by Netanyahu of the proposed road map has been a significant point of contention, prompting high-level discussions and diplomatic engagements. Kushner's meeting with Hamas leaders prior to his visit to Israel indicates a comprehensive strategy to involve all relevant parties in the negotiation process.
