Washington, D.C.:The Ministry of Interior has been awarded the 2026 MPA Creative Protector Award at a ceremony held in Washington, D.C.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the award was presented in recognition of the ministry's significant contribution to dismantling the notorious piracy operation StreamEast. This platform was among the most-visited illegal sports streaming networks globally, with over 1.6 billion visits recorded in a single year.

The event was attended by US congressional members and administration officials, highlighting the international community's appreciation for Egypt's efforts in combating cybercrimes and protecting digital spaces. The award also acknowledges the effectiveness of the ministry's agencies in addressing electronic offenses and enforcing intellectual property rights.
