Cairo: Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem held an extensive meeting with ministry leaders to outline the work plan for the coming period and determine how to measure the ministry's institutional performance in carrying out its activities and providing services to the industrial community.According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister emphasized that this meeting would be held every three months to exchange views and perspectives between the minister and the leadership, and to review any new directives from the government or emerging industrial trends on the regional and international stage.Khaled Hashem noted that the region views Egypt as a leading industrial nation due to its robust infrastructure, skilled workforce, and large industrial base, a fact confirmed by indicators and figures. This underscores the significant responsibility the ministry bears in advancing all industrial sectors.The minister explained that the plans and strategy developed by the ministry during the past period wil l be built upon, updated, and linked in a scientific manner that takes into account the strengths and weaknesses of Egyptian industry and the industries in which Egypt has high competitive advantages. This strategy will be subject to review by the ministry's leadership and employees to ensure the participation of all parties and their commitment to implementing the strategy.Khaled Hashem stressed that the rapid global changes and developments require a change in the thinking and approach of the ministry and its employees, as it is part of a large governmental system with goals and work parameters that enhance the ministry's role and the services it provides to the public of industrial investors and citizens.
