Riyadh: Minister of Housing Sherif Al-Sherbiny, accompanied by a high-level delegation, attended on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, IFAT Saudi Arabia 2026 in Riyadh to explore innovations in water treatment, desalination, waste management, recycling, and smart monitoring systems. The visit aimed to promote localization of these technologies in Egypt, attract foreign investments, reduce project costs, and support the development of sustainable infrastructure across new cities and governorates.

According to State Information Service Egypt, IFAT Saudi Arabia, the regional edition of the global IFAT Munich exhibition, features over 450 companies and 18,000 visitors from 35 countries, providing a platform for governments, investors, and industry leaders to discuss circular economy solutions, environmental sustainability, and strategic planning in water and waste management.
