New Suez City:Housing Minister Randa El-Menshawy has conducted a review of ongoing projects and work files in New Suez City, a comprehensive fourth-generation urban community located near Adabiya and Ain Sokhna ports and major road networks.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister received updates on various sectors, focusing on the urgent phase of the city's first development, covering 300 feddans. This review included housing and service projects, utilities, road development, and infrastructure upgrades.

Minister El-Menshawy emphasized the need for officials to accelerate construction, adhere to schedules while maintaining quality standards, enhance coordination between the city authority and contractors, and address any issues promptly during implementation.

The report detailed a field inspection by Ammar Mandour, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and Construction, alongside Asmaa Makhlouf, head of the New Suez City Development Authority. They assessed the free housing project comprising 86 buildings with 2,064 units, and the Dyarna housing project with five buildings and 130 units, as well as a 33-classroom school and a model nursery.

Infrastructure projects reviewed included the strategic connecting bridge and the main water booster station, which is nearly complete and linked to a 10,000-cubic-meter ground reservoir. The natural gas facilities have reached about 95% completion.

In the electricity sector, the ongoing construction of the main transformer substation was assessed. Designed at 220/22/22 kV with a capacity of 240 MVA, this station will support the city's first phase, encompassing 2,200 feddans.

The review also included the upgrading of the coastal road, critical to the first industrial district, and the ongoing landscaping and green-space efforts throughout New Suez City.
