Baku: Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa el Menshawy arrived in Baku to participate in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), scheduled to run from May 17 to 22 under the theme 'Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities.' The Egyptian Minister was received upon arrival by Egypt's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hossam Eddin Reda.According to State Information Service Egypt, Menshawy stated that Egypt's participation in the World Urban Forum reflects the state's keenness to strengthen its presence in international events concerned with sustainable urban development issues. She highlighted that Egypt's experience in establishing new and smart cities represents an integrated development model that aligns with the state's vision to improve quality of life, upgrade services, and provide advanced and sustainable urban communities.The minister is scheduled to participate in several high-level sessions and events, alongside holding bilateral meetings with ministers, officials, and representatives of international institutions. These discussions aim to explore opportunities for cooperation and exchange expertise in the fields of housing and sustainable urban development. The meetings will also focus on reviewing Egypt's experience in establishing new and smart cities, as well as implementing housing and infrastructure projects.
