Higher Education Minister Engages with Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal on Enhancing Academic Cooperation with Arab Open University

Cairo: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Abdulaziz Qansouh met with Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Open University and President of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), to explore avenues for strengthening collaborative efforts. The meeting focused on developing joint initiatives in the academic sector.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister highlighted the significant advancements in the educational and research infrastructure of Egyptian universities. These institutions have been actively updating their study programs to align with labor market requirements, creating an inviting environment for international students globally.

Dr. Abdulaziz Qansouh also acknowledged the substantial support from Egypt's political leadership in enhancing the educational and research systems. Efforts include expanding the number of universities and equipping them with state-of-the-art technology to offer an exceptional educational experience.

The minister reiterated the commitment of Egyptian universities to establish cooperation agreements with prominent Arab and foreign universities. This collaboration aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise, faculty members, and academic programs, thereby improving the competitiveness of graduates in various labor markets. It also supports endeavors to elevate the quality of education and research, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship among students, and fosters integration between Egyptian and international educational institutions.
